Editmamei Editmamei Connect Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Editmamei ("we", "us"). They govern your use of Editmamei Connect, the photo-editing service at connect.editmamei.com, including its website, account pages and the connector your AI assistant uses (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. Each account is for one person. You may not create an account for someone else, or more than one account for yourself. You may not use the Service if you are located in, or ordinarily resident in, a country or region subject to comprehensive U.S. sanctions, or if you are named on a U.S. government restricted-party list, such as the Specially Designated Nationals list. We block access from some locations, including to comply with these laws.
2. Your account
You sign up with your email address and verify it with a one-time code. Your account can usually use the editing tools as soon as it is verified. Some new accounts wait for approval first, for example when we limit the number of accounts or need to review a sign-up; until then you can sign in and view your account pages. We may decline, suspend or close any account at our discretion.
You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in methods (your email inbox, passkeys and any password we issue to you) secure. Tell us promptly at support@editmamei.com if you believe your account has been used without your permission.
3. The Service
The Service edits photos at your direction through an AI assistant you connect to it, such as Claude. We may change, add or remove features, set usage limits, or suspend the Service for maintenance or security. We will try to give notice of changes that materially reduce what the Service does.
4. Your content
You keep all rights to the photos you upload and the files the Service makes from them ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, copy, process and transmit Your Content only as needed to provide the Service to you, including sending results back to the AI assistant you connect. This license ends when Your Content is deleted under our Privacy Policy.
We do not claim ownership of Your Content, we do not sell it, and we do not use it to train machine-learning models.
You represent that you have the rights needed to upload and edit Your Content, and that doing so does not violate these Terms, any law, or anyone else's rights.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- upload, create or share content that is illegal, including child sexual abuse material, which we report to the authorities;
- create or share intimate or sexual images of a real person without their consent;
- create images of real people intended to deceive others, or to harass, threaten, defame or impersonate anyone;
- infringe copyrights, trademarks or other rights of others;
- break into, probe, disrupt or overload the Service, or get around its security, usage limits or credit system;
- copy, scrape, resell or provide the Service to others, or access it by automated means other than through an AI assistant connected to your own account;
- reverse engineer the Service, except where the law permits it despite this restriction.
We may remove content, limit features, or suspend or close accounts that we reasonably believe break these rules.
6. Credits
Editing uses credits. We may grant free credits, for example when you sign up and as a monthly allowance; the amounts and rules may change. Credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred or exchanged for money, and are not property. We may correct a balance affected by an error or by misuse.
Buying credits. Credit packs and subscriptions are sold by Polar, our merchant of record, which processes the payment and issues your receipt; its terms apply to the payment. The price and any taxes are shown at checkout. Credits are added to your account when the payment completes.
Packs and subscriptions. Credits from a pack do not expire while your account is open and we offer the Service. A subscription renews each month until you cancel it, and adds its monthly credits at each renewal; credits from a subscription expire at the next renewal and when the subscription ends. You can cancel at any time from your account page; the subscription stays active until the end of the period you paid for. Free credits are spent first, then subscription credits, then pack credits.
All purchases are final. We do not refund credits or subscription periods, used or unused, except where the law requires it. If a payment is refunded or reversed, we remove the credits it bought; if they were already used, your balance can go below zero, and editing stays paused (exporting and saving still work) until it is positive again.
7. Third-party services
The AI assistant you connect to the Service is provided by a third party under its own terms and privacy policy, which govern what that provider does with the previews and results it receives. We are not responsible for third-party services.
8. Ending your use
You may stop using the Service at any time, and you may ask us to delete your account by emailing support@editmamei.com. We may suspend or close your account if you break these Terms, if your use creates risk or legal exposure for us or others, if your account remains pending without approval, or if we stop offering the Service. Sections 4 (the last two paragraphs), 9, 10, 11, 13 and 14 survive the end of your use.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". Edits made with AI assistance can be imperfect, and you are responsible for reviewing results before you rely on or publish them. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, or that files will be kept beyond the periods in our Privacy Policy. Keep your own copies of photos you care about.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Editmamei will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, revenue or goodwill, arising from or relating to the Service, even if we were told such damages were possible. Our total liability for all claims relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim arose, or US $50.
11. Indemnity
You will indemnify and hold harmless Editmamei from claims, losses and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from Your Content or your breach of these Terms.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. When we make material changes we will update the date above and ask you to accept the new Terms the next time you sign in. If you do not accept them, you may stop using the Service and ask us to delete your account.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute relating to the Service will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Maryland, and you and Editmamei consent to their jurisdiction. Nothing in this section limits rights you have under the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live.
14. General
These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and Editmamei about the Service. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.
